Sharing via CDs and DVDs
Sending CDs of photos and DVDs of videos is a popular method of sharing life memories with others, but when you give it some thought it’s probably not the best way. Don’t get us wrong, it’s great for distribution, but it doesn’t allow you to personalize or customize the content in any way.

If you’re super-organized, you’ve most likely copied a series of folders and subfolders from your hard drive and created a data disk with the appropriate memories (graduation, family reunion, baby’s first birthday, etc.) Then your friends and family have to insert that disk into a computer and then individually click through to see the photos and/or videos. Seems kind of static and impersonal, doesn’t it?
When you send a CD of photos in the mail there is no way to add narrative to what the recipients are seeing. Sure, they can click through the series of photos but that’s really all they can do. They can’t add to those photos and share them with you…unless they want to burn another CD and send it back to you!
And anyone who’s tried to email photos straight off the camera knows that it’s just not feasible given the size of the files unless you are using a photo storage site. But again, those sites just allow you to create photo albums and not true multi-media memory albums with text, video, audio and more. But MemoriesGrow allows you to share memories in all formats with as many or as few people as you’d like.
